My son has inadvertently signed up for Spotify Family and has offered me a link. Having checked Spotify it appears you have to live at the same address.
Does anyone happen to know if this is rigidly enforced?
One of my colleagues manages to use it as family in conjunction with his daughter’s account and she lives at the other end of the country!
Why not try it and see; what have you got to lose?
I can confirm that this works – I have ‘Spotify family’ in Wales and Kent, and as you make sure they sign up with your postal address, there is no problem.
I’m doing this with my sister in law who lives at a different address, doesn’t make any difference, I just changed my account to their address and she invited me.
I have always fancied learning how to play the piano and now seems as good a time as any. I live in a flat so I think it would be kinder to my neighbours to buy a digital piano that I can plug my headphones into whilst I butcher chopsticks. I need to do some research into the different models available so if anyone has some advice on what to…[Read more]
I’m no expert, but I bought one myself a few years back, which I confess I don’t play that often.
When I was researching I was told to look for one with weighted keys, which make it feel more like playing a normal acoustic piano.
I ended up with a Yamaha model, whoch together with the stand and a couple of tutorials cost me about £300.
That sounds about right.
There is a very big difference between a “digital keyboard” and”digital piano”: the latter is what you want.
It’s electric pianos I’ve been looking at and I found some videos on YouTube from piano shop owners comparing various models from Yamaha, Kawasi and Casio. £300 sounds very cheap compared with the electric pianos I’ve been researching. I keep having a look on Gumtree etc in the hope that someone is selling one.
I’ve just gone back through my Amazon orders and the one I ended up with (in 2009, so longer ago than I thought) was a Yamaha NB30P-K Portable Digital Piano, which cost £256.44. When I look at the order it says that that model is no longer available, but the current equivalent is the…[Read more]
Thank you. Funnily enough I think it was videos from Bonners Music I was watching online about the different makes and models.
i was originally after a decent, ergonomic office chair for home, then it dawned on me that gamers spend hours per day seated, so, are gaming chairs that great?
I know they look great, like they’ve been lifted straight from a Subaru rally car, but how do you find them after several hours use?
I dont want to buy one and end up slouching in it,…[Read more]
They are pretty comfortable. I have Secretlab Omega and it’s pretty great. I used to use normal chair but It was really uncomfortable.
Go for it. You would feel as if your sitting in a custom build sports car where you’d feel cushioned on the chair. Perfectly shaped for your hips and back.
They’re usually adjustable, but I certainly tend to slouch a bit more in mine that I would have on previous office chairs – that’s by design though as I’m usually using a wheel and pedals. When I’m not doing that it’s very good for just sitting at the desk.
It does depend a bit on which chair you go for, but a lot of them are basically office chairs with extras 🙂
Depending on what you are looking at you can get several levels of adjustable, the one I’m using at the moment (Noblechairs Epic) has standard height adjustment, tilt, adjustable back, arms that can be adjusted in/out up/down, forward/back…[Read more]
Majority of the time they are a total gimmick. You are best off just getting a decent office chair.
So do office workers !! A good office chair will almost certainly be cheaper than a comparable ‘gaming’ chair
They are just an overpriced Gimmick, like most things people slap the word Gaming in front of! You’d be better just going for a good quality ergonomically approved desk/office chair, and it’d probably be cheaper.
Good video by JayzTwoCents on YouTube where he goes into this called ‘PC Gimmicks vs Features’
You should get one. But whats your budget? Most of them are high priced and you’ll be shocked looking at the price tags. But yes they are very comfy where your body and back sits perfectly on the couch of the seat.
I think the point of gaming chairs is that they look cool on your twitch stream.
In terms of ergonomics they are similar to a good office chair.
I think you should get one. They are a bit expensive but completely worthy cause they are comfortable and -in my humble opinion- way much better for your back.
Yes you should buy one.
Probably did or didn’t 7 months ago when the question was asked
